March 2020 gave AG & AG the opportunity to shine! We utilized our digital platforms and mobile apps to continue training and outreach online. Here are some of the highlights:
Originally slated to take place at the Cameo Shooting and Education Complex near Grand Junction, CO, the entire in-person Conference, ELEVATE 2020 Presented by SIG SAUER, will take place online. A new, state-of-the-art web platform has been created for this event that is beyond any other training system in the firearms industry today.
Training Articles Widely Circulated
Our phone has been ringing off the hook as first-time gun buyers look for training. We posted several articles that addressed frequently asked topics. They included making a Family Preparedness Plan, how to Keep Moving during the quarantine, Coronavirus and Violence at Home, How to Store Your Firearms, and How to Introduce Your Kids to Your First Gun. We have received a lot of positive feedback and gratitude for these pieces.
Throughout March we highlighted some of our Conference Instructors that are participating in ELEVATE Presented by SIG SAUER. Willie Parent from GLOCK, Alpha Landingham from MantisX, Craig Smith from Immersive Training Solutions, Lou Ann Hamblin from Louka Tactical, and Vicki Farnam from Defense Training International each sat down with AG & AG Director of Training Tatiana Whitlock to talk about the training programs they offer. More Spotlights will be posted throughout April.
Mobile App Numbers Climb
Registrations on the AG & AG digital app continue to increase as chapters connect with members through Facebook Live and Zoom meetings. Several chapters hosted Shooting Journal workshops, dry-fire clinics, and preparedness discussions. Many of our chapters are working as accountability partners in the AG & AG Push-Up Challenge.
