A Girl & A Gun’s DRIFT (Dynamic Real-world Immersive Firearms Training) Academy is the first training course of its kind that addresses all aspects of vehicle defense! Training in, around, and with your vehicle is a necessary skillset for your personal safety and that of your family. The average American spends approximately 5% of her life in her vehicle. While cars provide opportunities and independence, they also expose you to a lot of transitional and vulnerable spaces: parking lots, parking garages, gas stations, and more. Attend this Girls Getaway to learn how to identify, stop, and evade a threat.

A Girl & A Gun’s DRIFT (Dynamic Real-world Immersive Firearms Training) Academy is the first training course of its kind that addresses all aspects of vehicle defense for the civilian American woman. You will learn every aspect of vehicle defense, from situational awareness to firearms tactics and evasive driving techniques to protect yourself and your family.

Students are responsible for their own ammo (300rds) and transportation to the event. Closest major airports are Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) (1.5hr drive), Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO) (1.25hr drive), or Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport (ROA) (2hr drive)

Instructors

Chuck Haggard is the Lead Instructor for Agile/Training & Consulting and been active in private defensive training throughout his long career in urban law enforcement. Given the moniker “Legendary Lawman” by his colleagues, Chuck is certified as a civilian and law enforcement trainer on various weapon systems, including pistol, shotgun, rifle, carbine, oleoresin capsicum (O.C.), baton, and Taser. He is also skilled and experienced at teaching weapon retention, disarming, and other empty-hand techniques. He enjoys teaching and is proud to be able to contribute to this nation’s widespread community of responsible, law-abiding advocates of self-defense. You can find him at all of the notable industry conferences, including AG & AG’s National Conference.

 

 

Rick Henson is the Lead Instructor & Weapons Specialist for RFH Tactical Mobility. He is United States Special Forces Medical Sergeant, retired, and is a full-time instructor at the Virginia International Raceway. This brother 3-gunner of ours is coordinating driving instruction, training vehicles, and on-site logistics. He is based out of VIR and hosts a number of training and racing events.

Cancellations and Refunds
Life happens and sometimes last-minute situations arise that can prevent you from attending. Unfortunately, we will be unable to provide refunds as time goes on and our vendors and service providers have been paid. Therefore, a $50 administrative fee will be charged for any cancellation. Within 45 days of the event, there will be no refunds for registration fees or event-related items if you discover that you are unable to attend. In some cases, registrations may be transferred to another participant and you may try to find someone who may want to pay you for your spot.
