AG & AG: NRA Women’s Featured Partner

AG & AG was featured as a NRA Women Featured Partner in the NRA Women May 2016 eblast:

Now celebrating its 5-Year Anniversary, A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League (AG & AG) is a community of more than 5,000 women shooters mentored by women shooters. Nearly 70% of its members had never shot a firearm before joining AG & AG, so the league has welcomed thousands of women and families into the shooting community. The league helps beginners to learn the basics of safe and accurate shooting, and provides experienced shooters with advanced-level opportunities.

With local, regional, national, and virtual events, AG & AG provides instruction on pistol, rifle, and shotgun platforms and breaks barriers for women and girls in the shooting sports. In 2014 AG & AG sponsored the first all-ladies squad at the IDPA National Championships. In 2016 it is hosting the Brownell’s Ladies’ Multigun Fall Festival, the first major match to provide on-site childcare for mothers who are competitors.

AG & AG’s innovation is also redefining firearms training in general. In 2015 AG & AG launched an instructor training curriculum to ensure advanced-level training for more than 100 Chapter Facilitators. In 2016 it debuted a Shooting journal that provides members monthly drills and worksheets to empower women both on and off the range. The Annual Training Conference Presented by Smith & Wesson, 3-Gun UniversityTM, and weekly #TrainingTipTuesday emails illustrate the organization’s commitment to success at all levels.

AG & AG’s girl-friendly events have been successful stepping stones for thousands of women into shooting sports. Countless AG & AG members have become NRA-certified instructors and range safety officers to serve at local ranges and clubs. AG & AG is proud to lead a community of enthusiastic women shooters and foster their love of shooting with caring and qualified instructors to coach them.
