AG & AG Supports 11th Annual HAVA Family Day

AG & AG participated in the 11th Annual Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA) National Family Day event held on October 20, 2018, at the at the San Antonio Police Academy in San Antonio, TX. AG & AG Executive Director Robyn Sandoval, along with members and facilitators of the AG & AG San Antonio chapters, hosted a bay dedicated to women attendees where they could shoot steel targets with a 9mm pistol and a .22 LR AR-15 style rifle.

AG & AG Director, Gun Rights Advocates on Cover of TIME Magazine

A Girl & A Gun Executive Director Robyn Sandoval is one of the gun rights advocates featured on this week’s TIME Magazine cover by the street artist JR. Sandoval is included with 244 other individuals that represent varied opinions and positions regarding firearms ownership and accessibility. Her interview took place during a five-month project by JR to document stories throughout the country.

Tie-Breaker Needed for 3Q 2018 Match

A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League (AG & AG) proudly announces the winners of the 2018 3rd Quarter League Match. Two incredible competitors TIED for 1st place in the Adult Centerfire Irons division. Cheryl Fordyce (FL – Tallahassee) and Cynthia Blankenship (AZ – Prescott Valley) both had the same total time of 12.47 seconds with zero penalties. The tie breaker was determined by who was the winner of each individual string. Cheryl had the fastest time in two of the three strings and took the 1st Place win. Congratulations to both ladies for their outstanding performance!

Officers Attend 2nd Annual ‘Back the Women in Blue’ Presented by GLOCK

A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League (AG & AG) hosted eleven law enforcement officers for the 2nd Annual ‘Back the Women in Blue’ Presented by GLOCK. The event took place Sept 25-28 in North Texas at the Texas Handgun Academy in Dallas and Mission 160 Range in Whitewright. Participants included female officers, deputies, constables, and troopers representing large municipalities, rural counties, and state agencies from five different states.

A Girl & A Gun Director: I’m Taking the Word ‘Mom’ Back from Moms Demand Action

Speaking to the 2018 Gun Rights Policy Conference, A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League (AG & AG) Executive Director Robyn Sandoval declared that she is “taking the word ‘Mom’ back” from Moms Demand Action. Sandoval, whose youngest child is battling brain cancer, described the qualities of a mother as a fighter and protector.

In her speech, Sandoval emphasized the need to initiate conversations with others in order to advocate for gun rights. She explained four archetypes of people and how to tailor advocacy messages to them in order to optimize their engagement and understanding. According to Sandoval, “Even the strongest most-fervent antigunner fits into one these categories, and by listening, you can usually craft a no into a yes.”

Sold-Out Women’s Firearm Training Conference Begins Thursday

AUSTIN TX – A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League (AG & AG) is welcoming 350 participants, 100 instructors and staff, and more than 50 vendors to it’s 6th Annual National Training Conference, which begins Thursday in Burnet, Texas. The Presenting Sponsor of the event is CZ-USA Firearms. This marks the second year of the partnership between these two respected brands in offering this annual training conference.

The 6th Annual National Conference Presented by CZ-USA will take place from April 19-22, 2018, at Reveille Peak Ranch. Attendees will rotate through six to eight 3-hour training sessions on a wide range of topics. Sporting Clays Champion and Guinness World Record Holder Dave Miller of CZ-USA will be teaching sessions throughout the weekend as part of the all-star lineup of professional instructors.
