Tatiana Whitlock Draws Packed Audiences at NRA Instructor Workshop During NRAAM in Houston

Tatiana Whitlock delivered two stellar presentations at the NRA Trainer’s Symposium during the 2026 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Houston, Texas. Her seminar, The Power of Women: A Growth Strategy for Your NRA Instructor Business, drew packed audiences of firearms instructors and industry professionals eager to better understand the rapidly growing demographic of female gun owners and shooters.

During the seminar, Whitlock shared practical strategies instructors can use to identify, support, and retain female shooters in training programs and shooting communities. Her presentation focused on improving the student experience for women through intentional communication, confidence-building instruction, and inclusive coaching methods that encourage long-term participation in the shooting sports.

“As more women enter the firearms community, instructors who understand how to effectively serve this audience will not only build stronger businesses, but stronger communities,” said Whitlock. “Women are seeking trustworthy instruction, meaningful mentorship, and training environments where they feel supported in their learning process.”

Whitlock emphasized that female shooters represent one of the most significant opportunities for growth within the firearms training industry. Attendees received actionable insights on fostering welcoming environments, adapting teaching styles to meet students where they are, and building lasting relationships that turn first-time students into lifelong advocates for training and responsible gun ownership.

Whitlock serves as Director of Training for A Girl & A Gun, the nation’s largest training organization for women. As the architect behind the organization’s instructor development and member training programs, she has helped shape one of the most respected educational platforms for women in the firearms industry. Known for her sharp subject-matter expertise, dynamic communication style, and commitment to mentorship, Whitlock continues to influence the next generation of instructors and skilled shooters nationwide.
