This month we set a record for our National Conference registrations and our Sniper School was the talk of the town as a dozen of our ladies donned ghillie suits and engaged targets over a mile away. In addition, we held many events on the local level, and continued to welcome women into our club. Here are the highlights:

National Conference Sold Out with 600 Students in Only 6 Hours!
The 11th Annual A Girl & A Gun National Conference AMPLIFY 2023 Presented by GLOCK set a new record by filling up in only six hours! Previously the record was set last year with 550 students in 46 hours. Registration was increased by 50 students for a total of 600 students who will be supported by more than 100 instructors, 100 vendors, and 50 staff and volunteers. The event will take place April 27-30, 2023, at Cameo Shooting & Education Complex near Grand Junction, CO. Sponsorship opportunities are available at AGirlandAGun.org/sponsor.

Women Take on Riflecraft and Fieldcraft at AG & AG Sniper School
A Girl & A Gun welcomed 12 women who traveled to Grand Junction, CO, for the inaugural Sniper School event. Comprising riflecraft and fieldcraft instruction blocks, AG & AG Sniper School utilized several areas of the Cameo Shooting and Education Complex that served as the perfect backdrop for learning internal and external ballistics, wind, mirage, concealment, movement, angles, and more. AG & AG’s 3-Gun University Welcomes 25 New Competitors to the Sport
This month we hosted 3-Gun University to welcome and prepare new competitors for our Fall Festival Team Pistol Challenge and Multigun Challenge matches. Twenty-five students participated in 3+ days of training clinics that addressed pistol, rifle, and shotgun skills that are used in the sport of 3-gun. Instructors Cindy Coker, Ursula Williams (pictured above), Tennille Chidester, and Tobin Babcock got rave reviews from the participants who were eager to put their skills to the test in the upcoming matches.

AG & AG Members Enjoy Training at ASP National Conference
A Girl & A Gun members from around the country participated in the training and camaraderie of the 2022 Active Self Protection National Conference. The fundraiser event raised more than $100,000 for the Flint Hills Foster Teen Camp near Manhattan, KS. More than a dozen AG & AG members enjoyed range time and classroom discussions with many of their friends and colleagues from around the country.

AG & AG Donates to Childhood Cancer Foundation
A Girl & A Gun recognized September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. For the Childhood Cancer Awareness and the UnstoppableAF shirts, $5 from every sale was donated to the Cooper Trooper Foundation. This year AG & AG contributed over $100 to the foundation, which supports pediatric cancer research and families who are in the fight.

- In Sept 2022, AG & AG hosted 325 chapter events with 1,747 attendees (+20% over last Sept)
- We hosted 37 attendees at 2 national specialty training events.
- We hosted 3 virtual events with 1,158 attendees.
- 437 new membership packets were mailed from HQ in Sept.
- 1 new chapter was opened: Northwest FL,
- We grew to 10,630 subscribers on our smartphone app (+35% increase since last Sept).
Local Training and Media Highlights
Here are local news and media highlights for September 2022:

The Lubbock TX Chapter celebrated its 8th anniversary with a Breakfast & Bullets introducing its members to Steel Challenge as well as USPSA.

The Licking County OH Chapter hosted Obetz Ohio Chapter sisters for The Complete Combatant Image Based Decision Drills training. It was fantastic!

The Memphis TN Chapter celebrated its 2nd Anniversary in Sept! 20 ladies enjoyed time on the range playing UNO and a distance competition.

The Kettle Moraine WI Chapter, along with other WI Chapters, raised over $15,000 for the 7th annual Vet Fest which benefits 3 local veteran organizations.

The Sierra Foothills CA Chapter had a 4-hour class of Filipino KunTao, street fighting martial arts as a foundation to learn how to disable an opponent within seconds!

The Broward County FL Chapter spent a weekend training with Greg Ellifritz. Knife Skills for Concealed Carriers and Tactical First Aid and System Collapse Medicine are both amazing classes.

The McCall ID Chapter hosted an AR clinic with Jim Corbet, Founder of Unique-ARs, who really broke down everything-AR in understandable language, and they shot some of UAR’s amazing rifles.

The Little Rock AR Chapter enjoyed some range time therapy and introduction to the AG & AG Quarterly Match! |

The Great Hills SD Chapter Facilitator enjoys seeing everyone’s confidence go up AND literally, watching every woman walk away from the range with a heightened posture. |
