A Girl & A Gun shattered more records in September 2021! Our National Conference sold out in 46 hours, we gave back to law enforcement with an exceptional training event for officers, we were honored to be invited to several speaking engagements and events, and we kicked off our Fall Festival. Here are our highlights for September:

  • 550 National Conference spots sold! #record
  • In Sept 2021, AG & AG hosted 262 chapter events with 1,456 attendees.
  • We hosted 3 virtual events with 1,477 views.
  • 511 new membership packets were mailed from HQ in Sept.
  • 3 new chapters were opened: Marietta GA, Dade City FL, and Aurora CO.
  • We grew to 7,887 subscribers on our smartphone app (2% increase since last month).

National Conference Sells Out in 46 Hours!

General registration for the 10th Annual A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League (AG & AG) National Conference Presented by GLOCK opened at midnight on September 1, and the event sold out with 550 tickets in less than 46 hours. Due to the demand AG & AG increased capacity by 20% and the event still sold out in record time. Within the first week, more than 50 ladies were registered on the Waiting List to be notified of available tickets. Learn More >

Officers Attend 5th Annual ‘Back the Women in Blue’ Presented by GLOCK

A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League (AG & AG) hosted 14 law enforcement officers for the 5th Annual ‘Back the Women in Blue’ Presented by GLOCK. The event took place Sept 15-17, 2021, at the Round Rock Public Safety Training Center. Participants included female officers and deputies representing large and small municipalities and counties from eight different states. Read More >

AG & AG Addresses 6,000 at Gun Rights Policy Conference

Executive Director Robyn Sandoval spoke to more than 6,000 attendees at the 36th Annual Gun Rights Policy Conference presented by the Second Amendment Foundation. Presenting as part of a virtual panel on Gun Culture and Outreach, Robyn spoke about the importance of reaching new audiences, specifically women and families, to secure the future of the Second Amendment.

AG & AG Chapters Unite to Support Local Veterans

AG & AG Kettle Moraine Chapter Facilitator Jill Marton hosted a fundraiser for 3 local veteran’s charities. Over 17 members from 4 local AG & AG chapters stepped in to help. Preliminary calculations show it was their best fundraising efforts to date! “Our members love to give back to the community,” said Theresa Schneider, Facilitator of the Saukville, WI chapter. “We are all about sharing the load and helping each others chapters.”

Confidence Grows at 3-Gun University Presented by RUGER

3-Gun University Presented by RUGER included three days of training to teach 42 students the sport of 3-gun. Instructors reviewed all three platforms, gear, and stage strategies to help ladies have a successful experience for the AG & AG Multigun Challenge. Pro staff Cindy Coker of Team TROY, Rebecca King of Team SENTRY, Beth Walker of Team RUGER, and F-1’s Tennille Chidester presented a variety of clinics and stage walkthroughs for students, who ranged from new to experienced competitors.

More AG & AG Instructors Certified in Image Based Decisional Drills

Giving Back: Childhood Brain Cancer Awareness

September was Childhood Cancer awareness month and once again AG & AG members purchased the Childhood Cancer Awareness shirts from the AG & AG store to “Go Gold” for kids. AG & AG is sending $5 from every shirt purchased to the Cooper Trooper Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to helping families battling childhood cancer.


Local Training and Media Highlights

Here are local news and media highlights for September 2021:

The San Diego CA Chapter was featured in an article in The Wall Street Journal on the increase of women gun owners.

The Flagler County FL Chapter celebrated their 1-Year Anniversary with a packed house — including 27 first-time guests!

The Laurel Highlands PA Chapter celebrated their 4-Year Anniversary! They celebrated with a trapshooting day — one of their favorite activities.

The Cedaredge CO Chapter represented at the local Apple Fest. They had 54 ladies register during the event!

The Memphis TN Chapter celebrated its 1-Year Anniversary with 22 in attendance! Facilitator Ranae Knapp was surprised by the A-Team when presented as the 1st recipient of the “Heart of the Memphis Chapter Award.”

Robyn Sandoval was a guest instructor on the Self Defense Gun Stories podcast. Episode 247 reviewed four new stories of self defense where armed citizens defended their family, their friends, and their customers.

AG & AG Executive Director Robyn Sandoval is a co-host on the weekly Polite Society Podcast presented by the Second Amendment Foundation.
