Day 1 – Departs 4:00 PM
Welcome aboard Explorer of the Seas! Famously rainy and picturesque, Seattle sits on Puget Sound against a spectacular mountain backdrop. Soak up the city’s scene in one the many coffeehouses or head down to the lively Pike Place Market to feast on artisanal and local foods. Observe the view from the top of the Space Needle, a 650 foot structure left over from the 1962 World Fair.
Day 2 – (Cruising)
Whether you seek an adrenaline rush or total tranquility, our ships have it all. Try rock climbing, ice skating and mini golf on green that overlooks a sea of blue. Melt away land-based stress with a spa massage, build a scrapbook of memories or simply relax poolside.
Day 3 – (Cruising)
Have your camera ready to capture the rugged beauty of the islands and mainland coast of southern Alaska. The views include glaciers, fjords, soaring cliffs and misty northern rainforest. Watch for some of the most exotic wildlife in the world, including moose and whales. Explore glaciers the size of Rhode Island, misty rain forests and blue fjords.
Day 3 – Arrives 12:00 PM Departs 9:00 PM (Docked)
Surrounded by fjords, forest and snow-capped mountains, Juneau is one gorgeous state capital. Its historic downtown harkens back to its gold-rush origins and you can still pan for gold. But nature is the priceless treasure. When you’re in Juneau, you shouldn’t miss the amazing glacial landscape. Relive Juneau’s gold-rush history and pan for gold in the authentic setting of Gold Creek.
Day 4 – Arrives 7:00 AM Departs 8:30 PM (Docked)
The great Klondike Rush lives on in Skagway’s charming downtown of restored 19th-century buildings and its historic railway. From the vintage train, admire the mountains and see the 1898 trail that fortune seekers traveled on foot. Built during the 1898 Klondike Gold Rush, it is a memorable vintage rail car journey. Fly over frozen rivers of ice surging between high mountain peaks.
Day 5 – Arrives 7:00 AM Departs 12:00 PM (Cruising)
Just south of Juneau lies the magnificent Tracy Arm Fjord, carved by glacier activity. Among the sights to admire from the icy waters are waterfalls cascading down 3,000-foot-high granite walls.
The Sawyer Glaciers are not the most famous glaciers but arguably the most dramatic. Enjoy its sunlit mist. Meet the locals: keep an eye out for black and brown bears, wolves, deer and moose.
Day 6 – (Cruising)
Onboard, dining is about more than just food. Think ambience, variety and the flexibility to decide when and what you savor.
Day 7 – Arrives 9:00 AM Departs 6:00 PM (Docked)
The capital of British Columbia is filled with blooming gardens, heritage architecture and historic charm. The heart of Victoria is its scenic harbor and Old Town, compact areas that are made for strolling and easily explored on foot. Stroll the lush grounds of Butchart Gardens and Butterfly Gardens and learn why Victoria earned the name “The City of Gardens.” See the awe-inspiring, Craigdarroch Castle that boasts 39 rooms and five stories of stained glass.
Day 8 – Arrives 6:00 AM
Famously rainy and picturesque, Seattle sits on Puget Sound against a spectacular mountain backdrop. Soak up the city’s scene in one the many coffeehouses or head down to the lively Pike Place Market to feast on artisanal and local foods. Visit the Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour to design your own aircraft or travel a few minutes and tour the massive Boeing hanger.
