Northeast OH Had a Busy Start to 2017

By Misty Mcfarland

The AG & AG Northeast Ohio chapter kicked off 2017 with a bang and a few New Year resolutions. This chapter is a wonderful group ladies which includes a range of inexperienced and new shooters to some of us who have caught the 3-Gun bug! With that in mind, we wanted to ensure that all of our ladies had the opportunity to learn and develop their skills in a way that was structured and exciting for all. Thus a few resolutions were made!

With our first GNO of the year, we introduced AG & AG’s Shooting Journal to our ladies, giving them a place to capture their goals, learnings, challenges and providing us with structure and topics for our GNOs. We also began incorporating new topics – shooting and non-shooting related (because, it’s more than shooting!) – such as basic self-defense, build-your-own 3-Gun Buggy and couples’ date night.

A few of our ladies walked the runway at the Conceal Carry Fashion show held on February 19th; we took the opportunity to showcase NEO AG & AG with our tradeshow booth! Three of our members attended 3-Gun University and we’re looking forward to them sharing their experience with the broader group.

It’s been an exciting 1st quarter! Here’s a recap of our activities so far this year…
• Shooting Journal
• Build your own 3-Gun buggy
• Situational Awareness
• First Aid & CPR Certifications
• Breakfast & Bullets
• Valentine’s Day Couples’ Date Night
• Basic self-defense (partnering with one of our local law enforcement agencies)
• Magazine Swaps
• Gun Cleaning Clinics
• Raffles to raise $ to purchase steel targets for our summer GNOs
• And of course, lots of safe, responsible yet FUN shooting time on the range!!
