Thirteen is a lucky number for the League City Chapter. That’s the number of A Girl & A Gun members who attended an NRA Range Safety Officer Course on Saturday, March 21st. Four husbands even joined in on the class. As the instructor of the course, Tracy Hughes, of Safety and Defense Solutions and League City Chapter Facilitator, led the group as they learned how to give a range safety briefing, respond to emergencies on the range, and safely assist with correcting a stoppage or malfunction. The ladies (and men) are looking forward to assisting with many different shooting opportunities including A Girl & A Gun, a youth program and even Boy Scouts!
The course was held in the home of member Cindy Scott and included a delicious lunch. Congratulations to Margaret Gable, Cynthia Gentry, Margret Wilson, Kat Joel-Reich, Donna Smith, Angela Rabuck, Marsha Spurr, Cindy Scott, Debbie Vanderhoef, Ashley West, Claudia Moleski, Kristen Wilson and Andrea Penter for successfully completing the course to become certified Range Safety Officer. Congratulations, too, to Ralph Smith, Derek Rabuck, Kevin Moleski and Rick Spurr for rounding out the class and providing excellent discussion and feedback!
