New Changes for 1Q2018 Match

New Changes for 1Q2018 Match

Starting this quarter, the AG & AG Quarterly Match has some enhancements to improve your participation experience:

• Register using Practiscore link (a free online match management website)
• Irons & Optics divisions
• Images of each string to illustrate the text instructions
• Chapter AND Division Winners
• Match results available thru Practiscore

The Quarterly Match sounds like a “big event,” but really it is just an activity that can be done at a regularly scheduled GNO. There are several benefits:
1. Members who think that competition is too beyond them realize that it’s as simple as knowing the course of fire and shooting the sequence. It breaks barriers in mindset to consider yourself as a competitor.
2. It allows members from all chapters to participate in a league-wide activity so that there is camaraderie and participation as part of a larger sisterhood.
3. It gives Facilitators the experience of running a shot timer and recording penalties/scores, so you can participate at USPSA, IDPA, 3 Gun matches as ROs.
4. It offers cash prizes and bragging rights – just something for fun!

About the Quarterly Match

The Quarterly Match is a nationwide competition among members of A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League. Facilitated during a regularly scheduled event, such as a Girl’s Night Out, shooters are able to experience a competitive atmosphere: understanding the course of fire, match commands, operation of the shot timer, and scoring. The match allows new shooters to overcome mental barriers to participating in competitive shooting and gives experienced shooters the ability to test their skills in a casual, familiar environment. Winners of the match receive cash prizes based on the number of participants, and of course, bragging rights among the chapters. Learn more at https://www.agirlandagun.org/quarterly-match/
