Friendly and Certified Firearms Training for Women Since 2011

March 2022 Recap

March 2022 was full of training, camaraderie, and planning for next month’s National Conference! We enjoyed a lot of time together on the range, and the daylight savings change provided more daylight for outdoor shooting fun! Here are some of the March 2022 highlights:

Savage Arms selected AG & AG Founder Julianna Crowder and AG & AG Executive Director Robyn Sandoval in their feature on International Women’s Day, March 8th. Both women were interviewed about their roles as leading women in the firearm industry. According to Savage, “We want to shine a spotlight on some amazing women in the outdoors – leaders, role models, mentors, mothers, sisters, and daughters – by sharing their stories, words of advice and encouragement for other women.”

12 AG & AG Leaders Add USCCA DSF Instructor to Their CVs

March 8-10, 2022, resulted in a dozen newly certified USCCA Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Instructors within the AG & AG community. The DSF course covers real-world defensive shooting fundamentals, the balance of speed and precision, stance and movement, high-compressed ready position, presentation from the holster, one-handed shooting, a home defense simulation, and several defensive shooting fundamental drills to help these AG & AG leaders prepare their students to protect themselves and those whom they love.

The March 2022 Issue of Shooting Industry Magazine is known as “The Woman’s Issue” and so AG & AG was spotlighted several times throughout the issue. One article, however, “Getting the Whole Family Involved” offered several stories from AG & AG members and how they share their love of shooting with their children. From marksmanship training to competitive matches, our moms describe their family time on the range.

Another Manufacturer Taps AG & AG for Market Research

A startup firearms manufacturer was hoping to learn about women’s preferences, needs, and interests about their favorite wheel guns. Nearly 200 female revolver enthusiasts participated in the survey to provide information about the handgun features. The results were great feedback for a firearm that is often pushed to new shooters, but seldom researched by instructors on the ground with America’s fastest growing demographic.
