Lehigh Valley Chapter Hosts “Breasts and Vests” Tournament

On October 25, 2014, the Lehigh Valley PA Chapter of A Girl & A Gun held their 1st Annual “Breasts and Vests” Sporting Clays Tournament. 40 shooters participated in the 100-clay event on a beautiful sunny day.

The event was able to raise enough money to donate money to Breast Cancer Centers of the Lehigh Valley. They were also able to purchase a new custom-made vest for a lucky canine in the H.O.W.L. Program. Hounds on working leashes (H.O.W.L.) is a 501(3)c organization that raises money for ballistic vests, stab vests, food, grooming products, for the care of emergency service dogs.

The prize table included $8500.00 in prizes and trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. A 3 ft-tall trophy for simo class, and High Women shooter trophy went to Tylee Totenbier, who shot a 98 out of 100. The High Man shooter trophy was awarded to Ricky Medence, who shot 91 out of 100.

The chapter hosted a Chinese auction and raffles galore. With 30 cases of top-shelf beer from our beer sponsor, almost everyone left with a case of choice. Cabela’s gift cards and wonderful baskets full of goodies were also given out. After shooting, everyone dined on filet mignon sliders, chicken club wraps, and a variety of salads and desserts.
