League City Announces Volunteer Team of Range Safety Officers

If you’ve been to Girls Night Out or Breakfast & Bullets, you’ve likely seen a lot of activity at each event. It’s a lot of work to get everyone signed in, and get the activities going. A Girl and A Gun Women’s Shooting League is absolutely focused on safety for every single woman on the range. With the League City Chapter growing like crazy, it was necessary to get some more eyes on the range to insure everyone’s safety.

Tracy Hughes, Facilitator for the League City Chapter used an idea from Tammy Hunter’s (Facilitator for Cypress) and modified it to work for the League City Chapter. She chose a volunteer team of ladies to assist. All of the ladies on the team are members of the League City Chapter and have a superb attendance rate. In addition, they are all NRA Certified RSOs, and Texas CHL holders. Most are Distinguished Experts in the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program. Most have been through Beyond Your CHL – Women’s Defensive Handgun put on by Safety and Defense Solutions. Their presence on the range is going to allow the group to keep up with the many programs that take place at Chapter events. The ladies will also be bringing fresh ideas to the table for funning and gunning!

Without further delay, please meet the assistants team, which we’ve kind of shortened to the A-Team. L to R: Margaret Gable, Cindy Scott,Ashley West, Debbie Hall Vanderhoef, Andrea Sam Penter, Kristen Wilson and Marsha Perilloux Spurr
