Friendly and Certified Firearms Training for Women Since 2011

December 2022 Recap

A Girl & A Gun does more in one month than most organizations do in an entire year! We had a great December to close out our 11th year in the industry! More students, more events, and more excitement! Here are the highlights for December 2022:

38,653 Women Trained in 2022!

In 2022, AG & AG events welcomed 38,653 women! That is an 8.06% increase over 2021, showing that our outreach remains strong! We continued to open new chapters with positive and business-focused relationships with our host ranges. Our events have been diverse with top-quality training on various platforms and disciplines. And of course, we raised the bar for women’s training by providing instructor development opportunities for our Facilitators. Not only is our reach expanding, but our program once again proved to be the best in the nation.

95 Certified AG & AG RSOs in 2022

At the beginning of 2022, A Girl & A Gun launched a Range Safety Officer Certification program. The AG & AG RSO Certification course provides next-level training on the specific role of a Range Safety Officer at AG & AG events, how to fine-tune observation skills on the firing line and in the classroom, effective communication techniques in accordance with AG & AG professional guidelines, appropriate escalation of RSO intervention, and specific policies that will ensure the adherence of firearm safety rules, range safety rules, and AG & AG code of conduct at all AG & AG events. We are so proud that 95 women earned this credential and are serving their ranges and chapters ensuring better and safer experiences.

Hooked on Upland Hunting!

A Girl & A Gun hosted its 4th Upland Adventure pheasant hunt from November 30 to December 3, 2022, at Upland Inn Hunts in Greensburg, Kansas. The hunting group comprised 6 women from around the country, along with 3 of their husbands. More Rifle Instructors in Our Cadre

On Dec. 5-7, 2023, A Girl & A Gun Chapter Facilitators gathered in Killeen, TX, for the USCCA AR-15 Fundamentals Instructor Certification Course. AG & AG Facilitators represented 13 different chapters hailing from Texas, Oklahoma, Nevada, Michigan, and Virginia. This instructor credential allows these women to bring additional training opportunities home to their chapters across the nation. As more women fall in love with the AR-15, AG & AG leaders are able to teach them the fundamentals and grow their skills and confidence with the platform. Read more >

#GivingBack Program Shines on the Holidays

The motto of A Girl & A Gun is ‘It’s More Than Shooting.’  It’s not a catchy tagline or marketing slogan; it’s a way of life for our organization. As a community of women, we raise awareness for the causes that affect us and support a variety of charities that make a difference. In December, several chapters held food, toy, and clothing drives, as well as fundraisers for necessary agencies in their communities. Multiple chapters participated in the Wreaths Across America program to honor veterans. We are so proud that A Girl & A Gun lives our motto. Read more >
