On May 2-4, 2014, Cornered Cat firearms instructor, Kathy Jackson, rolled out a specialized training program for AG& AG facilitators at a 3-day training session in Austin, TX. A majority of facilitators around the country will soon be graduates of the Cornered Cat Facilitator Development Program, which reflects the organization’s mission to provide ongoing advanced-level instructor training for chapter leaders.
Unlike other women’s groups that are purely social, AG & AG leadership is equipped with superior training opportunities so that they can provide safe, challenging, and fun events for our members. It critical that the facilitator team continue to develop shooting skills and leadership skills so that our chapters are respected at ranges throughout the world.
Kathy Jackson’s training credentials include the Rangemaster instructor certification, Massad Ayoob’s Judicious Use of Deadly Force Instructor, and she has received training from ITI/WSI, Marc MacYoung, Rory Miller, Tony Blauer, Rob Pincus, Gabe Suarez, Ken Hackathorn, and Jim Cirillo. Kathy is an instructor for The Firearms Academy of Seattle with Marty and Gila Hayes, and is an adjunct instructor for the Massad Ayoob Group. She is the author of best seller The Cornered Cat: A Woman’s Guide to Concealed Carry and popular blog corneredcat.com.
