Hi I am Ranae Knapp, the Facilitator of the Memphis A Girl & A Gun. We have an amazing group of ladies in our chapter at all different levels of shooting skills and abilities, but we all enjoy getting together to shoot, visit and eat! I hope you will come out and visit us.
My adventure with A Girl and A Gun started in 2018 when I became a member, then in 2020 I became the Facilitator. Through A Girl & A Gun, not only have I made amazing friends, but I have a new confidence in myself that I had never experienced. I have been encouraged to step out of my comfort zone to try new things, like Steel Challenge and IDPA matches. I continue to take advanced training so I am able to share what I have learned with the ladies in my chapter.
I am the Owner and Instructor of Basics and Beyond Firearms Academy. I am a Certified Instructor through A Girl and A Gun, USCCA and the NRA. I am also a Chief Range Safety Officer through the NRA. My passion is to work with ladies who are new to the shooting experience. Whether its their first time to shoot or it has been a while and they need a refresher course, I want to help them become more comfortable with firearms as well as to be safe and be able to handle their firearm independently.
