Rebecca took up shooting in her early thirties, initially as a way to pass the time while her oldest son was shooting local indoor rimfire matches. It wasn’t long before she loved the competition and started practicing and learning all she could about firearms. As a fitness instructor, she already had the desire to teach and soon translated her new skills into a part time hobby earning NRA Pistol Instructor in 2010.
In 2014, Rebecca discovered 3-gun, or multi-gun, shooting competitions and was hooked. 2015 saw her competing in matches as a sponsored shooter across the country, with a few “High Lady” divisional titles in large and small matches. Shooting for Team Rise Armament this year, Rebecca and her fellow team members have a full schedule of competition and look forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
Rebecca is a wife and mother of three, a U.S. Navy veteran, an NRA Life member, and a Christian. She credits her passion for shooting and teaching on the camaraderie and hospitality she found in the shooting world. Her enthusiasm to share in this community and knowledge drove her to start RK SHOT Training, her own business where she teaches multiple disciplines. In addition to her own business, Rebecca is involved as a firearms instructor for Shoot Like A Girl (SLG2), a company with the same desire to grow the number of women who participate in shooting sports by empowering them with confidence.
