Welcome to the National eChapter! Our chapter is the place to be for ladies who do not have a local chapter near enough to attend in person meetings. We meet virtually each month, on the 2nd Monday, at 6:30pm Central via Zoom. We also provide a lot of information via our FB group and the Stack Team App (see links below). Come join us!
My name is Dawn Rose, and I am the Facilitator for the National eChapter. Prior to 2011 I had a fear of guns. My Dad had firearms in the house when we were growing up, but we did not learn how to shoot them. Safety was always #1 in the house, and we were not curious, but we did not learn how to properly handle them, or that target shooting could be so much fun.
Fast forward to two deployments in the Air Force; during the second deployment I had to carry a loaded firearm daily. I needed to learn how to handle and shoot a firearm confidently. My husband and his uncle took me to a range and taught me how to shoot properly and how to handle firearms so I would no longer be afraid of them. I took every class at my local shooting range that I could between that day and the day I left for my deployment. The more I learned, the more I loved shooting and the more confident I became.
I want to help others find, continue, and grow their love for the shooting sports. I am excited to be a part of the A Girl & A Gun organization, which allows me to share this passion!
