I’m Libby, Facilitator of the A Girl & A Gun Fox Valley Chapter in Illinois, and I’m passionate about encouraging, educating, and empowering women to become confident, capable, and responsible firearm owners.
As a USCCA Certified Firearms Instructor, I believe firearms education is about so much more than learning how to shoot. It’s about building knowledge, developing practical skills, gaining confidence, and creating a strong foundation for safe and responsible firearm ownership.
My own A Girl & A Gun journey began as a member, and I spent five years experiencing firsthand the encouragement, education, and sisterhood this organization provides. When I founded the Fox Valley Chapter in 2025, my goal was to create that same welcoming environment for women in our community—a place where women of all experience levels can come together, learn, practice, ask questions, challenge themselves, and celebrate their progress.
I especially love working with women who may be new to firearms or who aren’t quite sure where they fit into the firearms community yet. There is something incredibly rewarding about watching a woman walk onto the range unsure of herself and leave with a little more knowledge, a little more confidence, and a smile that says, *“I can do this.”*
Whether you are picking up a firearm for the first time, looking to strengthen your existing skills, or simply looking for a community of supportive women to learn alongside, I want you to know that there is a place for you here.
Outside of the range, I’m a wife, mom, manufacturing professional, mentor, and lifelong encourager. I love helping people recognize their potential, step outside their comfort zones, and discover what they are capable of accomplishing.
My philosophy is simple: **encourage, educate, and empower women to be their best.** I’m grateful for the opportunity to do that through A Girl & A Gun and to build a chapter where women can grow in skill, confidence, and community—one experience at a time.
