My goal is simple: to train others to be safe, competent, and passionate shooters and self-protectors.
Although I come from a hunting and shooting family, I didn’t fall in love with shooting sports until I
began teaching Pistol and Rifle in the 4-H Sport Shooting Program in 1998.
Since that was so satisfying, I began earning instructor certifications: NRA Instructor, which includes NRA
CCW, Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, Personal Protection In The Home, Personal Protection Outside The Home,
Refuse To Be A Victim, and Home Firearm Safety. I am a NRA Training Counselor, Chief Range Safety
Officer, and Practical Pistol Coach. I have also earned my Instructor Certification from the USCCA; so far,
I am certified to teach Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals, Countering the Mass Shooter Threat, and Emergency First Aid Fundamentals.
I also own my own business, Bellicose Family Safety Solutions. I teach Carry Concealed Weapon Permit
courses for 13 counties in California, CCW courses for Nevada and Utah, and provide training for security guards with exposed firearms. Besides 4-H, where I was a leader for the Western Heritage Project, I also volunteer as a Hunter Education Instructor and was the Chairman for the local Friends of NRA Committee for 12 years. I am a Life Member in both the National Rifle Association and the California Rifle and Pistol Association.
One of my favorite classes to teach is a ladies only Basic Pistol class, so “A Girl & A Gun” is a perfect fit
for me. And empowering a team to help me with this provides me with enormous gratification — I love
my A-Team!
