Julie Faris is a leader, mentor, motivator, dreamer, and philanthropist. It is her calling to share her experience and enthusiasm with others.
Starting her own firearms journey only eight years ago through an NRA Women on Target program, Julie is now one of the premier firearms instructors in California.
Having trained nearly 2,000 women through her company Aegis Authority, LLC, Julie is
committed to training and empowering women in not only firearms proficiency, but also in their personal development.
Julie holds a myriad of instructor certifications from the NRA, USCCA, Rangemaster, GLOCK and Sig Sauer Academy and is a competitive pistol shooter. In addition, she has founded and launched through her company, an annual “Women’s Defensive Workshop” for the High Desert Chapter members. Through these, she always demonstrates commitment to the safe and proper training of women shooters. Her philosophy is simple: Always Forward!
The High Desert Chapter of A Girl and A Gun launched in July of 2017 with an explosion of members and is still one of the largest AG & AG chapters in the nation! The High Desert Chapter is fully committed to relevant, safe and friendly training in a non-judgmental environment. This network of ladies comes from all walks of life and completely embraces the AG & AG sisterhood.
