Welcome to the Lake Martin Chapter of AG&AG. I am excited to see your interest in our chapter. The Lake Martin chapter is located on the south side of beautiful Lake Martin, AL and our host range, Lake Martin Machinegun, is owned by me and my husband, David.
My goal for the Lake Martin Chapter is to provide women of all ages and backgrounds a safe, inclusive environment to learn about firearms, practice their skills, gain confidence and build friendships with other ladies that share their interest in firearms and firearm safety.
As the youngest of 4 children, with a dad and 2 older brothers being avid hunters, I was around firearms at a very early age but never ‘managed’ them independently. I enjoyed time with the family shooting handguns and shotguns as we grew up. In the last 10 years my husband and brother-in-law, both Marines and firearm enthusiasts, have piqued my interest into the sporting aspect of firearms and now I ‘manage’ my own firearms and compete in multiple shooting sport disciplines of which multi-gun is my favorite!
David and I opened Lake Martin Machinegun in 2016 as a destination experience and have grown the facility to include pistol bays, long range rifle house and a dedicated training facility where I hold many of our AG&AG events and training classes. In the first year after opening the range I sought out instruction to gain familiarity and confidence, joined the AG&AG eChapter and attended the clinics and multi-gun match at AG&AG FallFest in 2017. I was hooked and decided to open the Lake Martin Chapter.
My passion to teach was fueled by an increased confidence and feeling of empowerment that shooting sports provided me, friends and family who had firearms but were not familiar and comfortable with them and the positive reaction of a new shooter progressing.
I am a certified NRA and USCCA instructor in many courses and chief range officer. My desire to improve myself and empower others drives me to continue to educate myself, grow my skills and share with those around me.

• USCCA – Concealed Carry and Home Defense, RSO, AR-15 Fundamentals
