Facilitator: Mindy Charron As a teenager Mindy grew up around rifles and shotguns and was often found tagging along with her father at shooting events in Ohio. As an adult career opportunity took her to the great state of Texas. In San Antonio and living alone for the first time, she became interested in home protection. Mindy will never forget her first GNO - how warm and welcoming all the ladies were to a stranger. In just ten minutes together Sandy (the AG & AG San Antonio Facilitator at the time) had Mindy shooting faster with accuracy than she ever had. That GNO was just the beginning of a huge growth journey and the amazing sisterhood she cherishes still today. In 2018 Mindy saw a gap in holster education and awareness in her area, and launched her small business, Her Concealment LLC. She became known as the holster version of “the Tupperware lady” travelling to ladies’ homes hosting holster parties where they were educated on the best ladies concealed carry holster brands and given the opportunity to try before they buy. She continued her training and support of the Central Texas chapters. Mindy would become the poster child for non-shooter attendees at National Conference. Refusing to miss it she attended at 5 months pregnant by opting to take dry-fire and virtual based classes – it was A BLAST! Fast-forward to 2021, when COVID craziness and starting her small family called her back to Ohio to be close to family. Presented with the opportunity to bring the value of the sisterhood she experienced in Texas to her hometown, she launcher the Licking County Ohio chapter in March of 2022. |
