Growing up I was a competitive gymnast, cheerleader and outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed being part of a team. During this time I taught dancing, gymnastics and swimming to develop my work ethic and leadership skills. I graduated college with a degree in Exercise Science in the hopes of helping others become successful with their health and fitness goals, leading healthier lives. After working in the industrial rehabilitation field for a short time I was provided an opportunity in the field of clinical research. Over the last 26 years I have worked for myself, large/small biotech companies, large pharma, and contract research organizations in many different roles. Three years ago I became a volunteer firefighter as a way for me to contribute to my community and continued my development by obtaining my Pro Board certification as a firefighter instructor. I have participated in the training and certification of Firefighter 1 throughout our mutual aid community. It has been a rewarding opportunity for me to provide a role model for other women in the community as to additional opportunities to support.
