Ashley Smith Takes Top Shot in the 4Q2025 Quarterly Match

AUSTIN, TX (AGirlandAGun.org) — A Girl & A Gun (AG & AG) is proud to announce the official results of the 4th Quarter 2025 National League Match, which brought together 94 competitors from 30 chapters across the country. This quarterly event exemplifies one of the programs that makes AG & AG unique: a competitive environment where women challenge themselves, build skills, and grow in confidence, no matter where they are on their shooting journey.

Congratulations to Ashley Smith of KS-Wichita, who delivered a stellar performance to earn the title of 4Q2025 National League Top Shot! Ashley demonstrated impressive consistency, efficiency, and competitive excellence across all strings, finishing the match with a strong total time of 18.67 seconds. Her focus and determination truly shined, and we are incredibly proud to see her earn this well-deserved national recognition!

Ashley Krenek of TX-Alvin once again posted the fastest time of the match, dominating the Orange Centerfire Optics (OCO) division with a blazing 14.05-second run. As an All-Star Winner from a previous quarter, Krenek was ineligible for the overall title this match, but her love of competition, leadership on the line, and commitment to excellence continue to raise the bar and inspire everyone around her.

A Launchpad for Competitive Growth

The Quarterly Match remains one of AG & AG’s most empowering programs giving members a national competitive platform while helping them build confidence, sharpen skills, and experience the excitement of structured competition. Each chapter completes the same course of fire at their home range, allowing new competitors to learn match commands, shot timer use, and scoring in a supportive environment.

Divisions are organized using the AG & AG Color Track system, ensuring competitors face others of similar skill levels, firearm platforms, and sighting systems. This structure keeps competition fair, motivating, and accessible, reinforcing AG & AG’s mission to meet women where they are and help them move forward with confidence and purpose.

For many members, the Quarterly Match serves as an exciting first step into competitive shooting. For others, it is a strategic opportunity to refine technique, test consistency under pressure, and push personal performance limits. Regardless of experience level, every competitor walks away with meaningful feedback, increased confidence, and momentum for what comes next.

While winners earn cash prizes and national recognition, the rewards extend far beyond the podium. These matches often serve as a launchpad toward larger stages, including local club matches and AG & AG’s annual Fall Fest in Missouri, where members gather to compete, connect, and celebrate the sport at its highest level.

A Leaderboard That Reflects National Strength

A look at the full leaderboard reveals the true strength of the AG & AG community. Competitors from chapters across the country filled the rankings, with multiple divisions represented and strong showings from both seasoned competitors and newer members alike.

Notably, the KS-Wichita, UT-Salt Lake, NC-Foothills, TX-Frisco, and CO-Colorado Springs chapters demonstrated exceptional depth, placing multiple shooters across divisions. From blazing-fast runs at the top to determined performances throughout the field, the leaderboard tells a story of progress, dedication, and national unity within the AG & AG organization. Every competitor who stepped onto the line contributed to the continued growth and credibility of women’s competitive shooting.

This quarter’s match highlighted the continued rise of optics divisions, with Green Centerfire Optics (GCO) leading participation at 27 competitors. In total, 8 of the 12 divisions earned payouts, reflecting the growing enthusiasm and competitive spirit within the league.

All-Star Winners

The All-Star Winner system is designed to recognize excellence while supporting the growth of every shooter in the AG & AG community. When a member wins 1st Overall, she earns All-Star status for her next three matches. During this period, she retains All-Star recognition but steps aside from winning the 1st Overall prize again. We do this for several important reasons:

  • To keep competition fair and motivating: Top performers are celebrated, but the prize pot isn’t dominated by the same winner every time.
  • To create opportunity for emerging shooters: More women get the chance to experience success, build confidence, and see their hard work pay off.
  • To reinforce mentorship over rivalry: Champions lead by example, uplifting those who look up to them and contributing to a positive training culture.
  • To encourage long-term participation: When more members see a clear path to growth and recognition, everyone stays engaged and inspired.

By honoring champions while opening doors for others, the All-Star program keeps the focus on skill development, community, and shared success. Congratulations to these All-Star Winners:
