A Girl & A Gun Members Connect with Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors at IALEFI Conference

PALM BAY, FL, (AGirlandAGun.org) — Members of A Girl & A Gun’s Space Coast and DeLand-Daytona Chapters are representing the organization at the 2026 International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI) Annual Training Conference in Palm Bay, Florida.

The conference, held September 27 through October 2, brings firearms instructors and training professionals together for live-fire courses, classroom instruction, and professional development. It also gives A Girl & A Gun members a chance to build connections with instructors who work with women in law enforcement.

“An officer can be well trained with her duty firearm and still need support when she takes off her duty belt and carries concealed on her own time,” said Robyn Sandoval, President and CEO of A Girl & A Gun. “And if her agency qualification is the main time she gets to the range, it can become something she worries about all year. Our chapters give her a place to practice regularly, ask questions, and build confidence without the pressure of a qualification on the line.”

Through Girls Night Out gatherings, matches, and other chapter events, women in law enforcement can get more time behind the gun while connecting with women who share their commitment to training. Those opportunities complement agency training and help officers keep practicing between qualifications.

“We’re proud of our Space Coast and DeLand-Daytona members for continuing their own education and sharing what A Girl & A Gun can offer,” Sandoval said. “The relationships they build here can help more women find the training and community they need.”
