The top chapter competitor was Cheryl Fordyce from Tallahassee, Florida, (again!) who had a time of 24.53 seconds. Our youth category’s winner was Christa Farmer, from Vista, California, with a time of 29.76 which put her seventh overall in the match competing against adult members and facilitators. LeAnne Farmer, also from Vista (and Christa’s mother), won our facilitator category with a score of 22.96 and had the top overall time. The nationwide average time was over 61 seconds and only our third place winner completed the course without any penalties.

Registrations included 77 shooters from 21 chapters. Based on the number of women participating in the match, the chapter pots received $469. The national pot was allocated $335 with $167.50 going to first place, $100.50 going to second, and $67 going to third. The youth pot is $12 and the facilitator pot is $108. About the Quarterly Match

The Quarterly Match is a nationwide competition among members of A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League. Facilitated during a regularly scheduled event, such as a Girl’s Night Out, shooters are able to experience a competitive atmosphere: understanding the course of fire, match commands, operation of the shot timer, and scoring. The match allows new shooters to overcome mental barriers to participating in competitive shooting and gives experienced shooters the ability to test their skills in a casual, familiar environment. Winners of the match receive cash prizes based on the number of participants, and of course, bragging rights among the chapters. Learn more at https://www.agirlandagun.org/quarterly-match/
