A Girl & A Gun is proud to announce that 23 women from 9 different states traveled to West Bend, WI, for training. These AG & AG leaders became Certified Instructors for the Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals curriculum of the USCCA. By successfully completing the course, the instructors may use the materials to educate the growing numbers of enthusiastic gun owners in their home communities.

Following is a testimonial from Fifi Raymond of the Pinellas FL Chapter:
I had the distinct pleasure of being able to participate in the USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Instructional training course this month and I don’t think I can put into words the amazing experience that I, and I’m sure all the amazing ladies from A Girl and A Gun across the country, had. But I will do my best and try to help you understand why this course should be something to absolutely take. This course is designed to develop Instructor’s teaching abilities as well as ensuring that they understand the purpose and principles that USCCA puts behind all of their training courses and materials. The in-depth materials can be overwhelming at first glance but the team that was selected to help us all reach our goals made sure to break everything down into a more digestible structure that made it super easy to understand and retain.
In addition to amazing materials, USCCA also provided us with an amazing teaching staff. Beth, Jennie, and Mark were balanced and delivered the content of the course in such a detailed manner, while also keeping everyone engaged and motivated. They had a great trainer to student ratio, and everyone felt like they received equal amounts of time to ask questions and build on our own strengths while also developing our weaknesses to fit the requirements of being a USCCA instructor. I can’t say enough about the team we had. No question went unanswered, and they made us feel like part of USCCA from the beginning to the end. Each day we focused on a particular topic. They encouraged collaboration with fellow instructors and helped us understand that there would always be support once we passed and completed the course.
At the end of the training week, USCCA showed us what true hospitality is all about. Not only did they invite us to participate in their amazing weekly meetings, but they provided us with lunch every day. The training team took us out to dinner, which was amazing. And to celebrate our successful passing and certification as instructors, the sales team took us out axe throwing (only wood was harmed during this event,) and then provided awesome transportation to an amazing restaurant overlooking downtown Missouri that had marvelous food. I truly can express how much fun I had, not only getting to know the ins and outs of an amazing organization, obtaining a Instructor certification, as well as meeting fantastic new people, but I also had the chance to bond with my fellow AG & AG sisters. The entire week was one that I will never forget and will gladly sign up to do again.
